Eyrie — Cookie Policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026 Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. About this policy
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how the Eyrie website and web app
(https://eyrie.au) use cookies and similar technologies (such as browser
localStorage and sessionStorage). It supplements our
Privacy Policy.
1.2 "Cookies" are small files a website stores on your device; "local storage" is a similar browser mechanism. We use these only as described here.
2. Our approach
2.1 The Eyrie apps and your signed-in account pages use no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not sell data, and we never use information from your Eyrie account for advertising.
2.2 Some pages of our public website show ads. Our home, features and pricing pages show ads served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies (clause 3 and clause 4). No other page of our website shows ads — in particular, our legal and policy pages and our contact page do not.
3. What we use and why
| Type | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary / session | Sign you in, keep you signed in, keep your session secure, and make core site functions work (including security and load balancing). The site cannot function without these. | Session/auth token, the shared sign-in cookie that lets the public website show that you are signed in, CSRF/security token. | Session or a set period; the shared sign-in cookie lasts up to a year, or until you sign out. |
| Preferences | Remember choices you make, such as language, theme, or a dismissed notice, so the site behaves the way you expect. | UI/preference values in cookies or local storage. | Until you clear them, or for a set period. |
| Payments (Stripe) | When you subscribe, our payment provider Stripe may set cookies necessary to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. | Stripe payment/fraud-prevention cookies, on the checkout/payment pages only. | Set and governed by Stripe under its own policy. |
| Advertising (Google AdSense) | On our home, features and pricing pages only: Google and its partners may set or read cookies to show ads — including ads based on your visits to this and other websites — to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ads and prevent fraud. | Google advertising cookies and similar identifiers. | Set and governed by Google under its own policy. |
3.1 We do not use analytics cookies.
4. Third-party cookies
4.1 Two third parties may set cookies through our website:
(a) Stripe, only for payment processing and fraud prevention on the payment pages; and
(b) Google, only for advertising on our home, features and pricing pages.
4.2 Each handles its cookies under its own privacy and cookie policies. To learn
how Google uses information from sites that show its ads, see
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4.3 Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts and photographs from Unsplash. These do not set cookies, but your browser fetches them directly, so those providers receive your IP address.
5. Managing cookies
5.1 Necessary cookies are required for the site to work; disabling them may stop you signing in or using the Service.
5.2 Personalised ads. You can turn off personalised ads from Google in
Google's ad settings (https://myadcenter.google.com), or through
https://www.aboutads.info and, in Europe, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
You may still see ads that are not personalised.
5.3 You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and clear site data. Help pages are available for Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. Note that clearing site data will sign you out and reset your preferences.
6. Changes
6.1 We may update this policy as the site changes. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date.
